Ki-84 Progress

This is my latest project. It is Hasagewa’s frank and so far the kit is great.

One Question I do have is the Porpeller color calls for light green anyone have any clue what would be best? Jason

Looks great keep us posted.

Nice looking pit, can’t wait to see more.

Very Nice work on the pit. I recently started the same kit & it is a beauty. The prop color is open to interpretation, but I use a mix of ModelMaster IJNAF & IJAAF green mixed 1:1. Check your references as many Japanese aircraft had props in the red brown primer.

Regards, Rick

nice looking cockpit…keep us updated…

Great work-too bad you have to “hide” it in a plane.

Great looking office! How is the rest of the kit? I have both the Eduard PE sets for it, including a color interior and a separate flap set, and I’d like to start doing some of these IJA planes I have PE sets for, like the Ki-100.
As for the prop, did the Japanese Army use the IJN’s oft-seen scheme of chocolate brown (some use a more reddish brown) for the rear of the prop, with natural metal on the forward surfaces? I think this question is answered on www.j-aircraft.com.

Thanks everyone I feel that this is one of the nicer cockpits I’ve done.
sharkskin I have done the Ki-100 and it is also a great kit and have another one to start.

Great looking job on it so far. What scale is it?

Great work on the Frank. I built the Tamiya version a while back…looks like the Hasegawa kit has much more detail. Great looking cockpit…please continue to post pics.

Nice job so far, Jason !

I built that kit a few years ago when it was released. I mixed the propeller color for mine, but I can’t remember which green I lightened. I’ll take a pic and post it here, if you like.

Good work Jay.

Nice build so far - looking foward to seeing further stages. I hope you don’t leave your models on the carpet for too long - work of this quality doesn’t deserve to be stepped on!
