Ki-43-I Oscar progress...

Hi all,

Just a couple pics for your inspection of my Fujimi 1/72 Ki-43-I build. Its a machine from 1942 flying with the 64 Sentai. Its kind of an unusual paint scheme of Dark Green and Dark Brown over bare metal. The top colors are Aeromaster and the belly is various shades of Alclad II over black primer. The anti-glare panel has yet to be added. The kit is being built Out-Of-Box so that I can get started on a more involved project. Some paint chipping has been done with a silver pastel pencil. Panel line enhancement is still not done at this point.

Happy modeling!

Lookin’ real, great job.

looks like a great start on the paint job nine!! keep it up!! later.

Thanks guys…all these years and I have never built an Oscar so this is a much needed project. This kit is a joy to build…nice detail, good fit.

Joe

Good start on your Oscar. Really like the disruptive camo on this bird. Thanks for sharing.

Regards, Rick

it looks like you are making awesome progress again. keep it up.

Oscar’s coming along nicely, Joe, thanks for the peek!!

Take care,
Frank

Thanks all, I’ve got the anit-glare panel and thin white tail band painted on now and am doing a bit more weathering and panel line enhancement. I should have Oscar up on his legs by tonight and hopefully shoot it with a coat of Future. Tommorrow I’ll get the decals on and maybe even finnish this bird. I’ll post a pic or two after decaling for your inspection.

Happy Modeling,

Nice one, Joe!

Nice looking build Joe.

Who’s the 190 in your sig by, and what scale is it?

Karl

Thanks Karl,

The Fw 190A-3 pic is my 1/72 Tamiya kit built OOB with Aeromaster decals. Its a great kit and really does not need any extras if you don’t want to spend the time/money on them.

Joe

neat looking camo job

Thad

Thanks Thad…I am decaling now and should have an update pic today with full camo, weathering, and decals shown. I may even get this bird done today!
