Ki-100 bubble top in 1/72...progress photos.

Hi Guys

Here are a few pics of my Fine Molds Kawasaki Ki-100 in 1/72 i"m working on. I added seat belts, O2 regulator, fuel selector valve, and a storage pouch to the cockpit. I am going to add brake lines to the gear when I get there. Kit decals will be used.

Happy Modeling!

Looking good, Joe…

How do you rate Fine Molds with this particular kit?

Dan

joe it looks like you have a fantastic start. keep the pics coming.

Coming along nicely, ninedriver. Cockpit looks great, especially for 1/72. I’ve got Hasegawa’s 1/48 kit “in the works.” ( I stopped at the Eduard PE flaps . . . one day.) I also just started a FM 1/48 Judy. I like their kits, it will be my third.

Looking forward to the progress !

FineMolds kits are tops! That’s a great looking build so far. Keep us posted with your progress!

Thanks guys…Boybuddho, I would say this kit is better than average detail wise and of average overall fit. This is typical of the fine molds kits I have built. They usually have very nicely detailed cockpits (as does this one) and look great great even OOB.

I had to fill a sink hole on either side of the fuselage and the joint of the wing to fuselage needed work under the nose and at the wing roots. Hope that answers your question.

Happy modeling all!

Joe

That pit certainly looks good. Looking forward to the finished product.

Nice work so far, the cockpit looks real good. Thanks for sharing.

looks good so far and thanks for the pics

Looking good!
Please keep us posted with your progress!

Thanks guys…I’ll be using Alclad II for the belly and wing undersides…I’m anxious to get some paint work going this weekend…pics to follow.

Here is a nose shot showing the very nice kit engine…
