Hey Fellow Modelers,
I just scored the Tamiya 1/32 A6M5 Zero kit # 60309 on ebay for about half price, and I’m pretty pumped. The kit arrived yesterday but I haven’t had the chance to open the box yet. Anyway, if anyone has built this kit, I’d sure like to hear what your thoughts are, horror stories too if you have them. I really want to do this build right, so I’d sure appreciate any advice on the build including painting.
Thanks in advance, John
The Tamiya Zero is a beautiful kit that falls together and is fairly well detailed.
Have fun,
Steve
Congratulations on scoring a deal on the Zero! [:)]
Will look forward to seeing it come together, thanks!
Take care,
Frank
John,
I just picked one up last weekend. I, of course, haven’t built it and will probably wait a little bit until I have a little more experience under me, but I did open the box, and I have to tell you it is amazing!!! I sat there drooling over it, reading the directions, locating all the finely detailed parts, etc. I looks amazing!!
Hope your’s comes out well. I look forward to progress on it.
Leon
Congratulations on the score. I haven’t built it, but by most accounts it’s a great kit. Enjoy the build & post some pics.
Regards, Rick
Congratulations on a great deal. Now let’s see a great build to go with it. I am looking forward to pictures of the finished product or “in progress pictures.”

The Tamiya kit was my first model as I got back into modelling as an adult. It was a nice, relaxing and fun build. In the next few years I plan on making another one to see how my skills have developed. I’m sure you’ll enjoy this kit!
Congrats to you for scoring the finest aircraft model ever produced off of Ebay!!
I have built two of these. The only problem I had was with my first build. The tailwheel retraction assembly is very delicate and will not take much pressure to break. You will really enjoy this kit. Please post pics!!

I will definitely keep all posted on the build of this kit. It’ll be a bit tho, cause I have an F-14D waiting in line first. Thanks to all for your encouraging words.
