Just Rec'd my Roden Sea Glad..............!

I thought I’d heard of Roden years ago…wasn’t sure.

Bought this Sea Gladiator in 1/48…and the kit is Nice! (looking on the trees)

The kit is Russian…with Russian/English/German instructions…exploded views with arrows for assembly…pretty straightforward looking. Nice motor detail.

Molding is sharp…no flash (none)…with good texture on the fabric surfaces…articulated control surfaces…and some room to work on the pit if you have a ref for that. The panel is molded clear for dial face decals…(should be interesting)…

Some heavy sprue attachments…tires are pedestrian…and decals ‘look’ a bit fat.

Good profiles and painting info, though.

This is my back-up for the FAA GB…haven’t seen my Swordfish yet…sigh

I built the Mk.I, really nothing much to complain about, I remember the landing gear struts being a bit goofy and needing a bit of modification to fit in right, and the decals crumbled pretty easily but were survivable, a nice looking kit when it’s done

Nam-

Glad you like her so far! I’ll be looking forward to some WIP shots over at FAAGBHQ.

The Roden kits are the “next generation” from the former Eastern Bloc lands. Eduard had partnered with them and there is much to recommend them, if you can afford them.

Yeah…it came to $27 for the kit…I’ll be a bit more frugal in the future.

Just have that…“Gosh…better buy it now!” thing going on.

Plus…it’s for the FAA GB…
