And it looks as sweet as the reviews say it does.[:P]
And the weather forecast for tomorrow suggests that you’ll have plenty of time to dive in and start. When can we expect the first WIP photos?
Don
Can’t wait to see WIP pics!
Don’t know if you do hyperscale or not but there’s been no small amount of kit picking going on over there about the lower wing. If things like accuracy matter to you, you might want to check it out. There’s already someone offering up a resin fix for it too.
Got mine last week Wingnut, and I agree—it is sweet, and for the price a real bargain, IMO, considering what all you get. One thing I really like is the relatively low part count for such a detailed model…
Still waiting for mine [:(].
Regards, Rick
Reviews, phooey…
What’d ya pay for it?
Probably more than you are will to, Hans.
BTW, I got that stabilizer if you decide you need it.
Bottom of wing? Not too worried about that unless I hang it over my bed using fishing line—and I haven’t done that since I was 12…
Hans… $35
HK yes I care about accuracy but every kit that has ever come out has something one way or another. I am definitely not one of those people that will refuse to but a kit for a reason like that. I’ve said it before… you can picked some pretty nifty trophies when you check off that OOB box on the entry form… inaccuracies and all. [;)] Because you now what… this is going to look like a D-9 when I am done. Both Jerry Crandall and Gary Adams have said in those threads that they think it is the best d-9 out there. And that’s good enough for me.
That’s great to hear Marc. Good thing to hear from a modeler with a clear head on his shoulders. I may have to order one inspite of the fact that I have a Tamiya in the stash already.
It just dawned on me that clear could also mean empty[:S] That may be more the case[:D]
Oh my, Marc. Don’t over think it for crying out loud[whstl][:D]
LOL… Probably, Pard, probably…
Regarding the stab, I was successful in casting a duplcate from the left one… I still owe ya a solid for the offer though, so if ever…
Yeah, that’s way over what I’ll pay for 1/48th single-engine/single-seat fighters by about 10 bucks… Guess I’ll have to wait for that Weekend edition, or whatever it is…
In fact, it’s at the very top-end of what I’ll pay for a 1/32nd scale fighter… [proplr]
I haven’t seen any other version of the D around… I’d imagine that the Tamiya kit’s priced about the same though…
I’m with ya on waiting, Hans. I’m willing to pay that for a kit but I’m going to wait for the weekend edition. I’ve gotten over my facination of PE and the likes and just want the basic kit. The Tamiya dora in the stash has the Eduard PE inside along with Ultracast exhausts and wheels and I’ve avoided building it because I feel obligated to use the stuff.
