Just received my first issue of FSM and decided to join the forum.
I started modeling as a kid back in the mid-70’s. My father did a lot of modeling and I picked it up from him. He was in the US Army and because we were always traveling, he had to restart his collection every three or four years.
I stopped some time in college and didn’t get back into it until about 5 years ago. It is very good therapy to handle the day to day stress of teenage children. I pretty much stay exclusively US military (part of the legacy from my father).
Mostly US military. WWII to modern aircraft (fighters mostly, but I have done a couple of bombers). Armor, WWII to modern. When it is time to replenish my stack of kits, I try to look for something a little bit different than what I am used to. I recently tried my hand with a small scale WWII aircraft carrier. Still trying to improve my skills (which weren’t all that great to begin with). I just bought my first airbrush, have been using spray cans. I’ll experiment with it on my next build, a Revell F4U-4 Corsair.
[#welcome] hope to see you around, I just finished the revell corsair, it can be hard getting the gears to retract and the wings fold but still awsome.[:)]
