Just 4 Sh!t$ and giggles... pics

This came up in the whats on your work bench topic and I figured Id post pics of it… this probably should be in the scifi forum but what the heck its got parts of an F-4  and this is where my friends hang out so…

A few years ago, my wife knowing Im a Starwars fan and love building models bought me a snaptight Naboo Starfighter. Now if only I liked building scifi stuff we’d be in buisness. So it’s sat in my “to do” pile with never really having any intention of building it. I have an AMT AC-130 that I started last year but couldnt finish it before the Military decided to move me. So here I am in Belgium not knowing where to buy supplies to finish it (the military wouldnt let me pack paints, thinners, putties…:frowning: ) Feeling an incredible urge to slap some glue around I decided to make do with what I got handy and this idea came to me… smash my Naboo starfighter together with a Fujimi 1/72 RF-4 that I had no intention on finishing (it came as a collection from ebay) This thing is starting to look (in my opinion) a futuristic ME-262. Its still in the making but almost done. I think Im just gonna do some detail painting and and some decals… whatcha think?

Looks like you had a lot of fun there, Aidan! In fact I really like the way it looks with the heavy weapons load. This thing could do with a flashy, shiny paintjob, don’t you agree? If you haven’t got your airbrush with you, you could always go for some whacky automotive laquer.[8D] Hmm…orange and yellow flames over a silver base… or purple and gold or… [:P]

LOL!! That looks great - I love it.
I’ve forgotten how much fun kitbashing is. I used to do that all the time when I was very young, and had hours and hours of fun.

Reminds me of my F-15 I stuck every single missile and bomb I could find onto when I was a bit younger. Back when it didn’t matter how it looked, it only mattered how many weapons I could put on the thing.
