junkers 88 a1 from a4

can the revell 1/72 junkers 88 be converted to an a1 quiet easily or is there a conversion kit available, i really want to be able to produce a model to fit in with my battle of britain theme, any help gratefully recieved

Off the top of my head, you would have to shorten the wings and change the engines. These are the main two differences. I am not aware of any conversion sets and i would love to be able to do that version myself.

The only 88A-1 I have is the Revell 1/32.

If I recall, the A-1 had earlier Jumo engines which made the nacelles appear different, more streamlined and less “bumpy” if you will. The A-1 also had longer and more rounded wingtips. While we are on the Ju-88 topic, I wish someone would come out with an A-1 in 1/48th scale so I can complete my Battle of Britain collection. A scratchbuilding project with the Promodeler A-4 in my stash is well above my paygrade.
