I see the July issue of FSM is featured now. Did anyone else not get a June issue or was it just me ?[?]
I believe that FSM skips June and another month that I cant think of. Since you get ten issues a year this is the reason you dont get June.
June and August are the 2 months they don’t publish the mag.
Why don’t they print the mag in these months? Is it just because they,re too lazy or do they have a good reason?
What? Like being too lazy is not a good reason!

yep, and it is a darn shame too.
Personally, cover to cover, it takes me a couple of hours to read through the mag, so paying as much as we do for ten issues (those of us who subscribe) just might not be worth it…
Well, mark me in the group who did not read the fine print and obviously missed the last discussion of the topic…Sorry to stir the pot. And to think,I was gonna blame the mailman for filching my June copy. The only thing kept me from that was my fear that he would “go postal” on me…Anyway,have a great summer one and all !!!

I wasn’t implying anything with my last post-- just giving you a link to the best explanation for why it’s only 10…put me in the camp that wants 12 as well… heck-- when I go to buy the big extra issue they put out at the beginning of every year, my wife always comments why do you have to pay another $7 for that-- you pay enough for the subscription, you’d think they give it to you.
It is a quality magazine-- but out of all the magazines we subscribe to, it’s also the most expensive with the least yearly issues…
You young whipper snappers! I remember in my day when FSM first appeard it was only 6 issues a year!
Never mind: I just renewed my subscription for 30 more issues

not that i bought it then, but the first two years of publication, FSM was QUARTERLY!

you may be able to read it in a few hours, but you might find yourself
going back months or years later to re-read an article for a new project.
that’s where i really ‘get the value’.
i have acquired nearly every issue of the magazine (i am missing 5, i think)
so i can look up most anything that has been in.
and i now have a cd index of the magazine and can search for a subject,
and then get the magazine off the shelf.
for years, i would browse the armor articles, admire the pictures and move on.
now that i have added armor to my kit stash, i read (or re-read) the old articles w/
a new interest and perspective.
enough of my soapbox.
do i wish it was cheaper ? yeah, sure!
do i wish they did more than 10 issues? you bet!
do i wish they would do more of ‘this’ and less of that? sometimes!
but it is a good magazine, and they host a nice site.
