Ju88C-6 russian front scheme?

Hi all, I am currentley trying to finish a 1/48 dragon Ju88C-6 , the only problem is the marking given for the german version are in winter scheme, having just completed two winter schemes already I would prefer standard camo. Basically I understand it should be RLM65 under with prolly RLM 70/71 splinter above, is this right? Is there a set spinter pattern I should use? Also I know many Luftwaffe aircraft had yellow under wing tips (RLM4?) when should these be used?

Thanks Andrew

Bump, Anybody?

The 70/71 over 65 is the correct scheme and the splinter pattern was standard on all aircraft. The pattern should be easy to dig up but if you need help let me know.

Many Eastern front aircraft had the yellow fuselage band and lower wing tips in yellow and occasionally the lower engine cowls as well. It was not 100% standardized though so try to find a picture of the specific plane you’re doing.

HTH,

Mike

Thanks mike, I’ve found a couple of ju88 splinter patterns for eastern front. I also have two photos of this actual aircraft, problem is thats its in winter whitewash that I was trying to avoid [:(] . I will keep looking for unit specific otherwise I I will go as close as I can get, not to fussed if its not 100% accurate, it will never be in a comp, and its to be my first serious attempt at weathering and washs as well.

So thanks again mike for the info.
