Ju 88C-6, "C9+AE", IV./NJG 5, (1/72 Hasegawa)

Well, been a while since I moved a completed project off the bench. [:(DD]

This is Hasegawa’s 1/72 Ju 88C-6 finished as Hauptmann Heinrich Prinz zu Sayn-Wittgenstein’s “C9+AE” of IV./NJG 5. Pretty much OOB except for an Eduard pre-painted PE interior set and True Details resin wheels.

Not an easy build (for me at least), fit was very fiddly in places and overall I’d say the kit was a tad over-engineered. On the plus side the surface detail is probably the nicest I’ve seen on a 1/72 kit and it builds up into a nice model with some effort.

Thanks for looking,

Mike

A simply gorgeous build…those new 1/72nd bombers from Has are really nice…I have a few of each in my stash (He111 and Ju88)…your build could easily pass as 48th scale, lovely work, especially with that difficult scheme…

Very nice build. I plan on doing C9+DE when i get round to mine. Hope it comes out that good. I will echo Manstein in saying their new bomber kits do look very nice. Haven’t got a 111 yet, been eyeing up the H-8, but do have the 88A-11 & A-6/U & 4 B-24 kits, and all look very nice, but then so they should be for the price.

Big [Y] to you for a great looking build

Excellent Build mike. Your effort was well rewarded.

Nice work, Mike.

First glance I thought it was real. Nice job.

I agree - what a terrific looking model. I really like the paint scheme and weathering. Well done!

Mike- Your Luftwaffe subjects are among the finest I have seen, truly a feast for the eyes! The camo and overall finish are exemplary, outstanding build!

Camo and marking look excellent. Really fine job on this.

Great looking build. I really love your paint work. [Y]

Gotta teach me how you did that scheme with such a small scale! It looks the bee’s knees!

Mike, that is awesome. The camouflage is perfect.

Nice Ju-88 luftwaffle**,** over all she looks great. I myself are building a 1/48 Ju-88.

Great work, amazing paint job.

Thanks for all the comments, guys.
