Well, been a while since I moved a completed project off the bench. [:(DD]
This is Hasegawa’s 1/72 Ju 88C-6 finished as Hauptmann Heinrich Prinz zu Sayn-Wittgenstein’s “C9+AE” of IV./NJG 5. Pretty much OOB except for an Eduard pre-painted PE interior set and True Details resin wheels.
Not an easy build (for me at least), fit was very fiddly in places and overall I’d say the kit was a tad over-engineered. On the plus side the surface detail is probably the nicest I’ve seen on a 1/72 kit and it builds up into a nice model with some effort.
A simply gorgeous build…those new 1/72nd bombers from Has are really nice…I have a few of each in my stash (He111 and Ju88)…your build could easily pass as 48th scale, lovely work, especially with that difficult scheme…
Very nice build. I plan on doing C9+DE when i get round to mine. Hope it comes out that good. I will echo Manstein in saying their new bomber kits do look very nice. Haven’t got a 111 yet, been eyeing up the H-8, but do have the 88A-11 & A-6/U & 4 B-24 kits, and all look very nice, but then so they should be for the price.
Mike- Your Luftwaffe subjects are among the finest I have seen, truly a feast for the eyes! The camo and overall finish are exemplary, outstanding build!
