This is Academy’s 1/72nd Ju 87G-1 i built for the Ground Attack GB. I still have a bit of work to do to finish the diorama, but the aircraft is now finished.
I added an Aires resin set that comprised cockpit, engine and under wing cannon. Also from Quickboost, front undercarriage and prop.
It was painted with xtracolour enamels with pro modeller wash in the panel lines and a light touch of AK’s streaking grime on the wings.

Very nice Bish!! Love the open engine area!! How big are these in 72nd? I have been itching to do one but am thinking the 48th ones are going to be too big.

Jeeeeeeeeeez! I could have sworn it was a bigger scale! I like Stukas too and man lemme tell you this one looks nice. I have a Revellogawa in my stash with the million dollar Aires update and I don’t think it will look this good when I build it. Great job Bish!!

Holy cow! Nice work Bish. The camo colors, decals, and weathering are perfectly done and look all blended in very well. Interesting prop blades, not sure if I’ve seen those ones with the skinny root. I like the spinner. How did you mask the yellow spinner tip?

Nathan, unfortunately, i think the prop blades should have been trimmed at the tip before fitting. Quickboost don’t give any real instructions. But you get a tool that helps you aline the blades to the spinner, and they fitted pefectly into the molding on the tool. But that’s not really an excuse, i should have checked my references first. I think i might try and take them out and shorten them tonight because the more i look at them, the odder they look.
There’s a groove that runs round the spinner where the two colours meet, so i had a good guide. I used a masking tape i got recently that’s very flexible.
Eric, its 6inches tip to tail and has a 7inch wingspan. I will something to campare it next to and get a piccy.

Right you are Bish! This will be built. When…I just don’t know but its on the future drawing board!! If I remember right I think I paid around 90 bucks for that update/ revamp set. I aint payin that kind of money and letting it sit.
Look forward to seeing. I found the engine easier to fit than i had expected. I will be keen to see how your fuselage fits round the resin pit. Every Aires one i have done it has been a real pain, even after thinning the plastic and resin as much as i dare. But in a larger scale, this might not be as bad.
