Terrific, thanks for the information on Hungarian Stuka’s Nathan. I have decals for the third aircraft in the profiles, B6+31. I must say the photo of the aircraft with the full tail stripe is interesting though.
I’ve read great things about those HAD decals Tony. Can’t wait to see your build. Here’s a few more Hungarian birds:
Thanks Nathan, I notice both the full width tail stripe and rudder only tail stripe in this formation. Why is it that I always wanna do the one that I don’t have.
Also, I note the undercarriage without spats, I wonder how common that was in Hungarian Stukas ?
It’s a very interesting photo to me, thanks for sharing it.
I’m thinking of doing the 190 on that HAD sheet in the 190 GB, and the 109 in the 1944 GB, it won’t take much convincing to get me started.
Cheers
Tony
Ha! I’m not sure Tony. It seems the spats are removed in both pics I posted. I have noticed they are most common in D variants, mainly in the winter/spring/fall?? Also, I wonder if the stripes appear on the top of the Horizontal tails too?
I just read somewhere that Eduard is releasing a 144th Ju87G in March. This makes me wonder. As far as I can tell, they usually follow these 144th builds with upscaled versions like they did with the Spit MkIX and the MiG21’s. An Eduard version of this kit with Brassin gun pods and pit would be very very interesting!!
O don’t say that. I have already built the 72nd Academy G-1 and have the G-2. After seeing the Eduard Me 110, if they did that with an 87, there’s nothing on this earth would let me say no.
You got it Bish! I dunno which one I’m going to do first though. If this GB is long enough I may do two. One opened up and one not. I’ll let you know soon. This GB thread is already taking off!!! Sheesh!!
For right now just pencil me as the 1/48th Hasegawa Ju87 B-2. Thanks, Joe
No worries Joe, got that down. If this goes anything like yours, I would very much consider extending it. If for no other reason than it gives me an excuse to build another, I have a few in the stash to do [;)]
Cool! Thanks Bish.
I don’t know how your going to keep the horses behind the starting gate until Apr. 1st we’ll have 50 pages by then with nothing started yet! [proplr]
John
lol, hopefully theres enough to keep everyone busy until then, what with the 190 and 335 GB’s.
Many of the guys here are/were in either one of said GBs and I think all of them know how addicting 190s are… Look who’s talking [;)]
I think holding us all back will be hard, but if there’s anyone that can do something like this, it’s Bish! It worked with the 190 GB as well…
O man you had to mention those builds! [:XX] I have barely started my 335. Oh and here is the Japanese GB! [:(((] I guess I can wait. [whstl]
John
I know what you mean john. I have an 88 and then two tanks to do before I even think about starting the 335. Only after that will I get to my Stuka.
Placed my order from Sprue Brothers for the Hasegawa Skuka. And of course the next day they have 15% off all Hasegawa kits[bnghead]
David
Isn’t that damn typical. I reckon they must have heard we have a GB going.
I hate it when that happens. I placed an order for AFV’s T-34/76 at Hannants just to find out it was 1/3rd off the next week…
Guess it could have been worse, they could’ve had it 50% off the next day!
Anyway I’m going to order some turned aluminum cannons for my kit. Comparing pictures online there’s a world of difference between the kit parts and aftermarket. Might as well add the Eduard PE as well.
David
David, not sure who makes metal barrels for that kit. But Aires have resin ones. I used the 72nd ones last year and they were great. You can either get just the gun or the gun with the pods.
Okeedokee guys. After alot of thought I have decided on which Stuka kit I’m going to build first. I have 3 identical kits save for the last one I got from another participant in this GB that has skis. I’m going to go with the later and convert it back to a B-2 since I already have all the decals and Aires “double throw down” update set for it. So here’s the kit I’ll be going with followed by a picture of the AM goodies along with a box of spare parts that I’m sure I’ll end up stealing from at some point in this build.

If there were ever a Hasegawa Royal Class kit this is probably what it would have in it!!! LOL
