I have had that. It is a pain to spray over because you can still see the peeled part. Acrylics will tend to do that. A couple ways I avoid it is to wash the model in soapy water before painting, as the mold-release agents and oil from finger prints keep the paint from adhering properly. Then, as a precaution, when masking, I stick the tape to my fingers once or twice to kill some of the adhesion. I just want it tacky enough to stick- just don’t put a heavy coat of paint over the mask to avoid leaking. GENTLY pull the tape off.
The DML T-80 is a good kit but does have some fit problems. If you put the upper track run on the wheels, the upper and lower hulls won’t fit together. Leave it off as the skirts will hide the missing tracks.
I feel your pain! While building cars I’ve experience having my paint being pulled off, or away from the plastic, while trying to remove masking tape (two-tone paint jobs). Arrggghhhh! No other word for it, unless you swear up a blue streak!
