Joe's Backyard Paradise

LOL! Thanks Chad.[Y]

Love your dio! I know that the ‘tool box’ part of it is pretty old in the forums but I am just thinking that so many of those boxes you see have a couple of drawers that are about an inch from being closed all the way. Not nit-picking but just wanted to point it out and am thinking it would ramp up the realism a little.

That’s awesome, Joe.

But it brings up a bad memory. Back in the early 80’s, probably, we had a Coke machine just like yours in the shop. I was young and wanted modern, I got rid of it in favor of a ‘modern’ pop machine.

To this day every time I see one I cringe. I have no idea if they are worth anything. Not the point.

That said, you have the next best thing, and it takes up less room.

Now, that’s a dandy addition.

Beautiful work so far. Is there a build thread on the PU? I see no battery chargers for power tools or compressor/piping/filters for air tools. I’m assuming the dio period would determine which. Just first cuppa rambling. PaulE

I love that old Coke machine! If you want to do a modern garage:

It’s a Doozy! Possibly the simplest resin kit in the world - only one piece! Waterslide decals too!

Now we need a candy vending machine…

What about the Pepsi machine and a Candy Machine ?

Hey, I am thirsty. How much for Coke? 10 Centavos? Thats one of them bend off bottle cap jobs isn’t it. Remember how good a coke tasted when you were a kid? Man, what a treat it was. I loved the fizzy part.

It looks great, sir!

Thought I’d put this one back up top for some of the newer crowd.

Great model, reminds me of Mrs. Thornes’s Rooms with a modeling bent.

Thanks Konrad. I never heard of Mrs. Thorne’s Rooms before so I went and checked it all out. All I can say is WOW!! That stuff is amazing!!

What a fun build to read through, @mustang1989!! Thanks for bumping it. I love the finish and the details — the scuffed floor is a trick I’ll be filing away for future use, and I love the bait shop sticker.

Thanks Tom. LOL!! I had a good chuckle when I pulled that bumper sticker off on the wall. Never done anything like that before and it was a lot of fun to be able to get that on the wall.
This whole build was a good amount of enjoyment for me to put together and I’ve got plans for a little larger one so I can start photographing my builds in a bigger setting.

Missed this one in my long absence but glad to have caught its revival Joe- this is truly awesome man!
