Jeaton01's year in review

I’ve had a productive year in 2024, and may yet finish a 1/32 Spitfire Mk. 5b. I starting losing track partway through the year so I made a web page for my 2024 builds, it has links to all the build photos if you want to go that far down the rabbit hole!

That’s a lot of quality work there John! And some very interesting subjects. Great year.

A productive and diverse year, very nice.

(Staring at my two)………

Holy cow, thats a lots of kits. Thats like 3 or 4 years worth for me. They look great too!

Very impressive line uo John. I need to get off my butt and get building. Only 2 for me last year.

Nice work John. So many nice builds.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. I don’t know what happened! I do know it’s getting harder and harder to find a spot in any of my display cases. And two of these, the RF-86F and U-2F, went to a museum for a display for Rudolf Anderson.

Well, it did help that I didn’t have to move and didn’t break my shoulder!

That is great! Which museum?

The Roland History Center in Vacaville, used to be called the Doolittle Museum. One of the IPMS clubs I am in meets there and it seemed a good way to repay them for that kindness when they said they needed some models for that display.

That was a very productive year. I love your dioramas.

Thanks, Stephen. A newer venture for me, trying to give some context and relative scale.

A very productive year John, I really like all the 1/48 scale vehicles, particularly enjoyed seeing the dozer and the grader, some very interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing your builds. I took a look at your webpage on the Monogram P-61, and liked it a lot as well, some good suggestions on putting that kit together and on improving it.

Thanks, Konrad. Nice to meet you!
The P-61 was a satisfying build even with its few foibles. Where’s the fun if there is nothing to fix!

You as well. Completely agree about modeling, the problem solving is the most fun. I may have one or two of the Monogram P-61s in the stash, I see a combination of 2 kits to get one with flaps open on both engines.
