Japanese Komet (Pics!)

My apologies to fightnjoe for posting this on his previous komet thread. I thought everyone would be posting their 24-hour komets on the same thread. This is the Finemolds 1:48 kit of the Japanese version of the Komet, called the Shusui. It’s box stock and painted with Tamiya orange from a can and Mr Hobby metalizers. Photos were taken on one of the aprons at NAF Atsugi, Japan.

Thanks for lookin’[:)]

looks great

A real cutie! Thanks for sharing! How are those fine molds kits? Here they have a great reputation but they are soooo pricey…

Looks great, Don!
Your photos always look very realistic.

Are you going to the Shizuoka Modeller’s Flea Market February 5th and 6th? Same place as the big hobby show.

Nice looking Komet

Yes, excellent photos. Cute little guy. Was that orange the real color they had for it? It seems too obvious.

don no apology needed. your work was definitely welcome. i just felt then and now it deserves to be the centerpiece rather than share the spotlight. beautiful bird. awesome work.

Good job and beautifull work there.
Rare and unusual is the name of the game.
I love your work Don.

Wow! Thanks for all the nice comments[:)] dj, this is only the second Finemolds kit I’ve done, but from what I’ve seen, I’d say that the quality is generally average and the pricing in Japan is on par with Tamiya and Hasegawa. (Brian (J-Hulk), please correct me, if I’m wrong. And, by the way, I think I’ve already got enough fleas, so probably won’t go.) Tigerman, the color is supposed to be more yellow-orange, at least according to the box art. The experimental version was the yellow-orange, while the tactical version was typical IJN green/gray.
