Japanese I-400 Class Submarines

Hi folks,

Does anybody ever seen a kit for I-400 class submarines of the Japanese navy of WW2?

Even if there is not any kit either for the submarine or for the Serian Fast Attack Floating Bombers they were carrying, does anybody know how could I obtain plans in order to scratch build them?

Aoshima and Skywave/PitRoad both make an I-400 in 1/700 scale

Doyusha made an RC kit of the I-401 in 1/300 scale (16 inches or so long). Horrible for a full hull but would be great for a waterline display. (I’ll build it one of these days…after the line of fleet boats begging me to finish them). Combat Sub I believe made an I-400 in 1/350 resin. Tamiya makes 1/72 and 1/48 models of the Seirans. Got mine off Squadron.com.

Skywave makes a double kit of the I 400/401 in 1/700th-nice details but a bit small.
Nichimo made one in 1/200th (I think)-very nice kit but hard to find-last time I looked it was about $60. This one is probably oop, so a search on e-bay may be in order.
