Japanese GB 2011-2012

Thanks for the encouragement. The ‘George’ is finished, and I’ve proven to myself what I can do in a week, albeit past midnight on every night [:)]

I tried to show some disrepair in the paintwork, without it yet being in a fully dilapidated state.

Hope you like it.

Cheers

Tony

Tony: She looks great! Congrads! Nice work on the chipping without being over-done with it.

I’ll get you posted ASAP!

Thanks Cliff.

Cheers

Tony… You really packed alot into your 72nd scale George. Very nice!

Dougt (RR)

My first group build, and my Ki-84 gets first place at my local IPMS end of year competition. Surprisingly, it was the only 1/48 scale build there, so I was a bit sheepish about it but my name will be immoratlised on the trophy so I’m happy as a pig in mud.

Oh wow! Well, if the other guy doesn’t show up it’s still a win for you! [;)]

Congrads!!! [t$t]

Congrats Blitzwing. You can only beat the models that are on the table, so no discredit there.

Cheers

Tony

Excellent george tony [t$t] really like it

LOL !! congratulation for the 1st place [t$t][t$t]

Cliff i think soon put on the first judy as a speed built, will built as gift for a friend then will not use so much plastic sheets adds [:$]

What’s news about the round two?

Bsyamato: The post for part II is up for sign-ups- I think it’s still on the front page of the GB forum here.

Looking forward to the Judy- did you want me to sign you up here or on part II?

I wish to built it in few time, then probably finish in two or three weeks ,the sign here and remove the tenzan, will put the tenzan for round two [:$]

On the judy already glued wings parts, here the sprues and box

After posting the last picture just noticed that no decals for the IP is avaible… at least an IP scratchbuild is needed [bnghead]

Bsyamato: no problem will swap out the Tenzen for the Judy. And if you for some reason can’t get the Judy done of course you’re welcome to move her over to part 2.

Hey, thanks! I just picked up a space heater and Im going to attempt to sort out about 5 totes worth of supplies that just got tossed into them...a little of everything in each. I packed a large tote with some kits but cant remember what they are. Also found an old time hobby shop that has everything and anything you could want. I grabbed the new Revell UH-34 Helo and an still sealed Monogram F-8 Cougar. I did not have very much time to look around that day but I will be going back there very soon! They had all the new kits, like that 1/32 B-25 everyone was talking about, and some really old kits that I havent seen for a long time. Prices are pretty good IMO. $18 for the helo kit and $24 for the Cougar...not bad being theyre going for way more on Evilbay…lol.

Len nice to hear you back in workbench business [Y]

Works on judy:

Wings glued and sanded

Holed some intake and machine gun , also modified the engine fitting to allow gluing after the nose is closed

Added structures on the cockpit and removed original seats

At the next

Good work BSY. It’s not an aircraft I know much about so I’m looking forward to this. Hope it goes a little more smoothly for you Len.

Cheers

Tony

Yeah, nice work Bsyamato- love the cockpit ribbing you’re putting in there.

Again on bench [:)]

holed the radiator intake

last adds on the cockpit, seats , gun chargers maded from sprues and oxigen (?) cans, now left to scratch only the gun support

At the next for first paints

Wow, I love those ammo drums- good idea!

Pretty slick way of making spare ammo drums! Good work my friend!

Thanx friends, soon some more progress, just primed all inner parts in black, modified thr gun (too long for the scale) and scratched the missing gun support with brass beam

I’m sorry, I see that I forgot to put up my final product.
