I have a Hasegawa Nick and was wondering what a good match is to the interior color. I prefer Tamiya acrylics. Any other recommendations for this kit feel free to speak. Thanks.
Whoa, anybody home here?
tigerman, go with what is on the instructions. I prefer Gunze Sango myself. If you would like to get Tamiya instead, go to your local hobby shop, and see if the can help you. I am really not up to date with interior Jap colours.[|)]
eric try this one. hope it is the color you need

let me know.
joe
My lovely Hasegawa instructions call for Nakajima. Yah that is what they call the color. Unless I’m wrong I thought they produced airplanes.
Thanks Joe, I did not see that color at my LHS.
Yeah, the famous Hasegawa color instructions. The one I love is “propeller color”. Anyway, Nakajima green refers to the interior color used by Nakajima when they built the Aircraft. It’s similar to the US Interior Green, but not quite the same, a little lighter in shade. Check out this site for lots of info on Japanese Aircraft, including interior colors. www.J-aircraft.com

Thanks Rick, there seems to be nothing specific out there. Aeromaster, now defunct at my LHS seemed to have something that qualified. Perhaps based on the knowledge that you gave me, I’ll look for something that would be a bit darker than the US paint.
Eric,
I know it’s not acrylic, but I’ve used Testor’s “Jade Green” gloss enamel (square bottle) on a couple of Japanese interiors and it looks pretty good. You might want to check it out.
This is Nakajima cockpit color. I mixed it from Model Master enamels to match an old bottle of Aeromaster acrylic I have. The green that is mentioned is similar to that used by Mitsubishi.

Hope this helps.
Thanks Paul and Pix.
