I recently bought Jane’s “Fighting Aircraft of WW II” and found some odd looking a/c. A C-47 with FLOATS! Lists all the countries and their a/c and is updated as of 2001.The best $20 I ever spent.[2c]
Did you find that in a magazine rack at a book store or out on the book shelves?
I ordered it from Historic Avation @HistoricAviation.com. You might want to get their catalog as it has some good refs for all eras.[:D]
Thanks! Will definately check them out. [:)] Can never have enough refs.
Jane’s has long been an outstanding series of reference books. I have one of the older issues, and refer to it quite often.
Regards, Rick
i have two of their references. they are filled with good info.

Just to pass on a point of interest - Apparently a C-47 on floats operated as a bush plane in Canada up until a few years ago. Don’t know if it was the origional or one which had been modified after the war. Remember seeing an article on it a few years ago.
In fact, there was a vac-form conversion kit for that very C-47 variant, but I don’t recall who made it. It was not that rare, though. As for Jane’s All the World’s Aircraft, it cost $140 when I got my last free one as a book reviewer 20 years ago. How much is it now?
