Iwata & mini blue--compatible?

Does anyone here use an Iwata Revolution AB hooked up to a Testors mini-blue compressor? Are the two compatible? Does the mini-blue put out enough air pressure for the AB? Would I need an adaptor to connect the hose to the compressor?

I have both the Iwata and a testor. I have used the testor for years but I do not know if it is the mini blue??(It is blue though) I will look when I get home and let you know then. as for connectors and such I think I got all my stuff at home depot.

Mobydick, I do not have the mini blue you refered to sorry.

The connectors to the Testors mini-blue compressor are obviously meant to work with their Aztec line of airbrushes. They will work fine with other airbrushes, but you will need to use the universal connector that was supplied with the mini-blue, than purchase, probably at a home depot, any other connector you may need.
Mine works just fine, but I did hear of a lot of people complaining that it does not push out enough air for some airbrushes.

Thanks for the info, Zokissima. Well see how it works. I’m hoping that the gravity feed on the AB will help with the paint flow & mitigate any problems with pressure.

I have the the mini blue and been using it successfully. I recently threw an air regulator on mine and it puts out 20 psi max and registers all the way down to about 2 psi, then doesnt have enough juice under that. hope this helps.

I have had no need to go over 20 psi yet, I mostly spray at 10-15 psi and clean at 20 so there it is.

I have that exact setup and it works quite well for me. I did go to Wal Mart and pick up a regulator for it, so I can use the lower pressure. I wouldn’t use it without the regulator. I want a better compressor now that I have a house though. It’s on the list, but not at the top I’m afraid. I haven’t even gotten my model room framed in as of yet. There is so much stuff to do that I haven’t even had time to model at all since I’ve moved in.

as i say a lot, with enough adaptors, anything is compatible

You got that right
