Hi All, i just ordered a Iwata double action Revolution air brush… Currently, i have a Paasche VL. Can you use the Paasche air hose with the Iwata, or do i need to order a new one.and if i need a new one could someone please tell me what to order. Any help ASAP will be greatly appreciated. thanks Doc Bailey
The hose will work fine. The hose FITTINGS will not. However, you can buy a Paasche to Iwata adapter. Or better yet, you can buy a set of quick connects and be able to swap the VL for the Iwata quickly.
The Iwata airhose is almost like an industrial standard that can be used with almost any airbrushes except the Badger and Passche. A generic one is about $6-7 from places such as Habor Freight. The Iwata airhose is $12 at Hobby Lobby using the 40% coupon.
For the long run, an Iwata hose is probably a better investment than an adaptor to use with a Passche hose. The adaptor is cheap ($2-3), but shipping usually is not ($6-10).
