OK it’s time for my now annual begging for some new stuff to light up my now foggy eyes. I’m not asking for reissues this time around but simply pick up a few ideas here and retool (all in 1/48th scale by the way)
Beechcraft Staggerwing with military decales
A Hudson nd a Ventura would make me do handstands in the snow (and we got plenty)
It’s time for an all new A26 Invader series with a B26K option (I mean it’s been about thirty years now!)
And no one can beg for an A26 without begging for a new A20 series as well!
OK, Hasegawa it’s time to give us the high quality long sought after P63 with Russiam markings
Anybody here like to have a new and retooled tigercat with folding wings? I would!
what about a Korean War Skynight night fighter?
would any of us want a new Neptune? I could easilly be persuaded
OK, I’m gonna pass this ball to Tamiya and beg for a new high teck OV10 series
This is a must for all us FW nuts! I want a 1/48th scale FW190C that is of Tamiya quality
this is for all us folks that have too much time on our hands!! I have the feeling that a very high tech A37 and also a OV10A/D would certainly please a few folks around here as well being as Santa didn’t put these kits under the tree this year!
NUMBER ONE on my list is an A-12, original version of the Blackbird so that we don’t have to butcher an SR-71.
How about a T-37 TWEET that is not just an A-37 with a white paint job. Including decal options for the long time all white version or the newer blue and white would be icing on the cake. 1/72 and 1/48 scale.
Along the same line, a T-38 Talon that is not just an F-5B with white paint. Again, decals for the all white and blue/white. Both 1/72 and 1/48 scale.
I’m with Darwin. 1/48th A-12.
I’ll also throw in a NEW TOOL 1/48th SR-71.
I’d love to have a Tigercat with folding wings but I don’t need a whole new kit, just the wingfolds.
I’d take a new tool -3N though, with a correct nose and folding wings. I got outbid last week on a CE nose.
Frankly, I wish they’d blow off all the whiz-bangs and just put out half-decent, affordable kits in 12-25.00 price range for 1/48th… If some folks want all the PE and resin parts, let 'em buy after-market sets either from the manufacturer or from the other sources that specialize in that arena… I’d buy three or four each 1/48th Zero, Spitfire, FW-190, etc. kits for say, 20.00 each and a few twin-engined ones as well for say, 30-35.00 over a two-year period, but I’ll never buy ONE 60-100.00 1/48th kit (Hear me , Trumpeter?)…
Oh well, my pleas fall upon deaf ears these days… It seems no one wants to dig through the parts bin or put knife to plastic sheet anymore in order to create the “ultimate” model… The demise of the Creative Gizmologist is fast approaching… Thankfully, Revell is pulling their collective heads out of their 4th points-of-contact and putting the classics back into circulation and Ebay is alive & well…
Sorry, I went to post this and some how lost it, wrote a new one and posted that, then the first post showed up as well. Had to delete the first. Anyways see below.
Ok this is very simple…A new tooled B-17F in 48th scale!!!
Or at the very least an aftermarket nose converasion kit for at least one or two differant F model noses that NOT already found on the revell F kit. And I would say these conversion kits should be for the monogram B-17G kit as it is a far superior kit…overall!
A B-32 Dominator!!! I know it is a very obscure bomber, but it did see service at least!!! I do see that Airfix are releasing a limited 1/72 Vickers Valiant later this year.[:)]
I’ll second the motion for the 1/48 Ventura (besides that awful FM kit!!!), a 1/48 A-12, and the 1/48 F4U-4. Also, I would love to see a 1/48 beech King Air and a 1/32 F-16D.
