I too am still waiting to hear what type glue was used [?] If one squeezed half a tube of Testors onto a piece of plastic, of course one will have a meltdown, than it’s not the glue’s fault but the person behind the glue.

Too much of that stuff applied will melt plastic into a big glob, which is ironically sort of how it’s supposed to work. The glue literally melts the plastic together forming the bond.
Bottom line, apply sparingly as a little of that glue goes a long way.
