My Fw-190 A-6 build made the cover of SAM.

Awesome! Way to go!
Congratulation and well done, did you ever post some pictures of it on the forum?
, you certanly deserve it !! ood job…
Yes I had some photos on the forum over the past couple of months. Thanks for looking. Keep an eye out for the issue especially those of you interested in winter camo. I tried to spend a bit of extra time describing my techniques.
Congrats dcap…!!! I will definitely be looking out for this rag at my LHS…!!
You should be proud of your acheivement!! [#toast][#toast]

What an awesome acheivvement, you should be very proud! I remember seeing that aircraft here a while back. At the time, I was perfecting my worn winter look for the exact same aircraft! Kinda weird, but very cool at the same time. [bow][bow][bow]
Congrats! Nice bird you have there. [:)]
Very cool. Well done.
Outstanding!! and well deserved. That’s a gorgeous model.

I’ve got my Hunter ‘standing’ on the cover of last month’s issue. Does that count? [:)]
Seriously though, well done indeed sir, excellent view of the spindly undercarriage, no wonder they kept doing agricultural work with the props. Can’t wait to get a copy and see more of it in detail.
All the best,
Mick C.
Surely there’s a sexy fold-out too? …HA!
But truly, CONGRATULATIONS! That is an outstanding accomplishment and an inspiration for all.
Way to go, dcap! Not easy to make the cover, you must be a good photographer too.
Nice! Way to go!!!
Cool ! Well Done.
Thanks again to all of you. I checked Barnes and Noble but they still have the December issue on the shelf. I suspect it will be a while before I get to see the inside. The photos are made with my mid-range Sony digital and a small light box I made after hearing a presentation last year at the IPMS Houston contest.
I ran a thread a while back with some tips on photography after noticing some depth of field issues in some of the photos.
In March the companion article will run which is the Fw-190A8 but with lots of added detailing. about 70 hours in that one instead of the 40 or so in the A-6 but when push comes to shove Eduard put so much detail in the box it’s hard to justify the extra hours. I like to add the details though just to see if I can.
You can see both 190’s at IPMS San Antonio on the 16th of this month. My improvement since 2000 is entirely due to my participation in IPMS contests and club events. If you’re not competing you’re missing out on a whole world of interesting information. Practice judge at your next local contest and see how much you can pick up from just a few minutes of your time.
Congratulations and job well done.

Congrats! Great looking build, I’ll look forward to it. My Barnes & Noble has the Jan issue as of last weekend, so the Feb issue should be there in anther 4 weeks or so.
Congratulations … a well deserved achievment. I’ll be looking out for that one! [tup][tup]
