It's a, wing thing, man !

I love those counter-rotating props,
Too bad, none of these bombers survived.
At least a smaller prototype is still with us !

Leon.

Looking goog Leon! [:)] I have one of those somewhere in my stack… glad to see someone’s results, thanks!

Take care,
Frank

Jack Northrop’s spirit lives on today in the B-2 Spirit stealth bomber. It’s too bad the electronics for the bomb nav system for the XB-35 and the jet engines for the YB-49 weren’t technologically advanced enough to keep up with the basic airframe.

Incredible job, Leon…who made this kit?

It’s the 1/72 scale kit put out by AMT/Ertl. a few years ago, Sorry.

Leon.

Looks great, ssgt.
What are the red things under the leading edges?

rlawson: those are the exhaust dumps, I was going for a rusty/burnt color,
maybe should have gone with a steel color of some sort?!!
Thanks,

Leon.

That plane is just too cool! I remember seeing footage of the real thing when I was a kid. Sheesh… I just dated myself. Anyway, good job on an intersesting subject.

Nice build of a rarely seen aircraft.

Regards, Rick

thanks for the reminder…beautiful aircraft. whats really cool is that i saw a show on discovery one day where 'ol jack northrop actually got to see the b-2 fly…so the man went to his grave KNOWING his design was vindicated…he got to KNOW he was right. my wife would NEVER allow that to happen to me…good wife, good man, great design–ahead of its time. beautiful model…i could only hope to achieve that level…and ive tried for three decades. hope to see more pics soon. great subject.
