It's a cold icy day outside...

A good day to decide to clean and organize the workshop. I for one am taking the advice of staying off the icy roads…the wife is baking…the aroma of fresh banana bread, a coconut pie and wheat bread is filling the air. What a way to spend a Sunday!

I increased my spares collection by moving some of the models from the shelf of doom to being spare parts for other projects. Having gotten rid of several boxes opened up some much needed real estate. Rearranging the stash into a more “organized” layout is time consuming and just when you think you have everything in its place another kit surfaces. [sigh] Fortunately my shelving is easily adjustable…in the end I should have some free open space ready for more additions to the stash.[:)] I’ve was glad to see the 40% off coupon in my email this morning from HL…thinking big helo kit!

Once I get the workshop cleaned up and organized I will start catching up on tips, techniques and how-to’s again. Who knows I might even be able to build a model! In fact I do need to do so…our club has an inhouse event in April so time is burning.

Gotta get back to cleaning! See ya!

We’re kindred spirits Gerald. Personally, I never get anything done but still find the need to clean the work area evry week!

The description of the baking makes the mouth water![:P] I made homemade eggamuffins with cheese and Canadian bacon this morning…a rare treat…but a great day starter! But banana bread [yeah]

Wish we had HL here…but…[sigh]

I did get a 1/48 CH-46 Sea King to give for a gift swap…and not being a helo type, I still wanted to open the darned thing! The recipient says it’s a great kit.

April in model building is like…next week!

Good Luck!

i’m as sick as a dog today and have speant all day in front of the tv watching football(soccer)but your making me feel hungry[dinner]i can smell it from here…

Ain’t that the truth Ludwig!

Hi Gerald

When I read your posting, my stomach actually rumbled only having had a cheese sandwich and a cup of coffee for lunch. A wedge of coconut pie would have gone down a treat.

Regards

David

I think you showed us a pic of your workshop Hawkeye. It’s too nice not to keep clean and organized. I just have a corner of my bedroom and have a stash of about 15 kits. Easy to keep clean but I’d rather be spending time cleaning a workshop like yours.

Come’on over!

I understand about the bench in the corner of the room. My first modeling workbench:

Wish I could, but can’t afford the air fare.[4:-)]
