Italeri's Autoblinda AB 41 *update* build finished awaiting paint

Nice work Biffa. I’t good to see you back building again.

[:)]

Ron, good to see you back…sorry to hear of your close friend passing…sounds like you are dealing with things in your own way which is always the best way…you have always been a class-act in the Forums and I am glad to see you building again.

Looking good, as usual, so far. Hope the Holidays and new year brings you some good cheer…

Hi Ron, I’m not an armor guy anymore but I chanced on this post because I saw this kit recently at the LHS and it looked cool.

I’m sorry for the loss of your loved ones. Modeling is good therapy, as is petting dogs, and so is being with a beautiful wife like yours. Life will get better, and you’ve got a bunch of buddies I can tell.

Ron, i’m very sorry to hear of your recent loss and tragedy, I was wondering where you were. It’s great to see you back in action.

Terry.

Hi Biffa!

My condolences. I’m really sorry to hear about your friend, and I hope that you will find your way back into normal life. One should not underestimate the therapeutic value of some solitary modeling. It brought me out of a heavy depression three years ago, a depression that actually was caused by the sudden death of a close friend of mine. I rediscovered a forgotten hobby that I had not been practising in some 15 years. I also discovered this forum with all its wonderful inhabitants. But most important, the hobby gave me a possibility to focus my attention to something else than personal loss. Sometimes this kind of distraction is priceless. I speak for myself, but I think that a whole bunch of people agree with me when I say that you’ve been missed here on the forum. So, a warm welcome back!

Ron, I know it is never easy losing a friend, especially when it is unexpected as this was. I am sorry for you and his family.

Thank you all again for the nice comments and support it really means a lot [:)] i have made more prgress but havent had time to get the pics up yet being busy finishing up work for the year, the good news is today was my last day of work until after the new year so im hoping for much bench time in the near future, more pics up in the next day or two.

Well i managed to get this one built up and ready for the paintshop i didnt get any in progress pics to be honest i just wanted to get on with it and was enjoying myself, although i picked this kit for its simplicity there turned out to be quite a lot of fixing and extra to do, with cleaning and trying to make things fit where they didnt and making lost parts from sprue etc (i managed to lose a front tow hook a rear tow hook and one of the horns? from the front right fender and broke the rear MG barrel), much of this could have been due to my being rusty from the last few months away from the bench either way it definatly had me brushing up on my general building skills, all that said i enjoyed it and think it will look fine when painted which i am looking forward to doing.

Looks good from here…painting is good therapy as well.

Enjoy yourself.

Ron’s back to his usual speedy build time! Looking good Ron, can’t wait to see it painted…have you settled on a scheme? These little guys could sport some pretty wild ones depending.
