Italeri - Will They or Won't They

Just saw this on one of the other modelling sites and thought I’d post it over here.

This is a pic from Italeri’s home page.

So what are your thoughts fellow treadheads … is this a picture of something new to come from Italeri … or not.
We may have to wait until February for the “official” announcement.

Looks like theyre going to release a kit of that, Sherms. I dont think theyd have posted that painting if it were otherwise. Maybe we should go to their stand (F56) area H7 to find out.[:)]

If this isn’t a “coming soon” kit I think they are making a mistake. There seems to be a ot of interest in amphibious operations lately and a 1/35 LCI or LCM would probably sell good. The pic looks like it could be a sample of the box art.
Of course we are never satisfied, just the thought of an LCI makes me think about a 1/35 LCAC! [:D]

That would be a popular kit, I’m sure! But of course, it will be in 1/72… LOL Just kidding, guys!

I know that Lindberg makes one and there is another copany that makes one. I don’t know of the name of it.

Oh sure … blast my Christmas fantasy out of the water Domi [:0] … thanks a lot. [;)]

You’re welcome! LOL

Hey Mr. ‘Buried under the Snow…eh?’

Is that a Higgens boat?

Glenn

Don’t believe so … I think the Higgins Boat was a little smaller than this one.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think its just a piece of marketing art. Something to represent your arrival at the show…

Now if I’m wrong, I guess I’ll just have to eat crow and go out and get that kit [;)]

Mike

Doesn’t have tracks but should be able to hold 1 M4, I think.

My 2 cents, looks like a LCVP to me. Much smaller than the LCM’s but able to carry a jeep w/trailer or 21/2 truck.

I would be happy if Italeri released a 1/35th Centauro or even a LeClerc.

Here’s a pic of an LCM (3)

Looks close to what’s in the Italeri pic. But I don’t really know squat about them.
According to the specs it could carry a tank up to 30 tons.

And I stand corrected on my Higgins Boat comment … apparently all were based on his design.

it might be one of the Cardboard models rereleased by italeri?
how about getting one of these for your Shermans instead

i wonder how long it will take for Trumeter to make one

wow… is that a landing craft with cromwells or crusaders?

Regards, Dan

yeah its a 1/35th LCT(4) Landing Craft that can carry 9 Shermans/Cromwells, or 6 Churchills but it costs £399.99 alot of money, hopefully someone else will bring one out for £50 or i can win the Lottery

yeah there Cromwells and Centuars

I just checked out the link you had…amazing stuff…too bad that LCT is costly…around 708.00 in American currency?

Regards, Dan

hope it will come out in kit (would be nice) but it can also be a scratchbuild radio controled boat, saw a few landing craft during my r.c period that were all homemade with tanks and troops. i think we just have to wait [:(]
