Since many don’t venture into the Italeri GB part 2, here is my submission. It’s the Puma. It was mostly built when I got it, I did all the painting and weathering. With all do apologies to wbill (camo looks a lot a like), it’s OOB. This kit would highly benefit from a new gunbarrel, mg, clear periscopes, mufflers and seperate hatches. The smoke dischargers I believe were installed inaccurately. It was too late when I noticed. I lost a width inidcator and substituted another that I found. I wish I new of James method that he did for his 251, but I felt the kit was deficient already. Needless to say, Dragon’s new kit probably makes up for the shortcomings and then some. I was going to try some streaking, but I still need to work on it. Done in my still-to-be patented subtle weathering. LOL Comments, criticisms, and raking-across-the-coals all welcome.
Yep! The smoke dischargers are on the wrong sides. Nice build though. Kind of partial to it myself…[:D]
Not bad at all on a so-so kit these days since DML issued theirs…but still builds up resepectably and you’ve done well with it even with the minor mishaps along the way. I especially like the subtle blending you’ve achieved with the camo and base patterns.
Really nice Job! I think you did a great job on the finish. It certainly takes away from the lack of detail of the kit[tup]

Love the paint work on this Eric really makes this model stand out great looking job.
Ron.
eric looks pretty good man! The cammo and weathering is spot on I think!! I am no expert, but I do like what I see! Well done!
Thanks all. It’s always fun to do show-and-tell with a great forum and return the favor of viewing all your stupendous builds.
Nice job finishing that kit. Ditto on the great camo.
You did a great job on this one Eric. I love the camo and how it blends in. Excellent work!
Decals looks real good too, my friend [;)]
Got any plans for a GB part 3? [:D]
No, I think there won’t be a #3. I do have an idea for another GB, but have to narrow my choices down. When I do, I’ll pass it along to the forum.
Thanks again for the decals Jean. [:)]
You’re welcome. They look way better on your build than in my spares drawer [;)]
Just love the paint not over the top, & for its age the tamiya puma dose not build to bad. Once again Tigerman great work. Alan
Hi Tigerman,
What an excellent job! For a long time this was the only Puma available, and it’ll doubtless remain more affordable than the new offering.
The camo is excellent (tonally an exact duplicate of the shades I used on my first Panther, which was also freehand/softedge, so to me it feels very visually familiar!), the weathering subtle, and the decals went down without silvering – well done! It makes me wanna pull one from my own stash and build it!

Great work man. Damnit, I have to find a spare day to catch up on that thread. I’m missing all the fun.
Thanks Alan, T-bolt, and Zoran.
T-bolt, Italeri is good bang for the buck, if you don’t mind an older less accurate kit, but undoubtedly easier to build.
Yeah Zoran, I know how we all get busy, so hope to see you there soon.
nice job on the Puma, Eric![:D]–your ‘still to be patented subtle weathering’ is a knock-out!![tup][tup]- very nice looking indeed!!–tread-[8D]
