I stopped by the local Hobbytown today. They have an Italeri 1/35 RSO w/PaK 40 and a Demag D7 w/ Flak 38 kit, both on 1/2 price clearance. I will pick up one (or both) of those and hold them for the GB.

Nice selection. How come my LHS never has sales like that? The one that went defunct used too and I picked up the Italeri Sturmtiger for $13. Nice kit, lots of putty though.
Aaaaaaaaaah ! I just now completed my last IT kit. the 105mm Howitzer, it’s going to ride in the cargo bay of the DUKW and I built the USMC M4, Tiger I, ( the treads are Tamiya, single piece) and let’s see, oh yeah I built the Kangaroo and backdated it to carry Tamiya’s 25 PDR and crew in North Africa. So much for Italeri GB here but a word of advise to the new guys, after researching the kits from IT which I’ve had many the crews are not up to a good standard as set by Tamiya or especially DML. Between the two you can get excellent figures, but then it would’nt be an ITALERI GB now would it ??? [;)]One last kit that I built as well, the 234, ah, but I converted it back to the original design found in the early DAK and mounted the short-barreled 75mm gun in it from the Tamiya 251…sounds interesting eh ? Kit bashing Italeri with Tamiya and by the way, not to worry there’s the Nebelwerfer, the 20mm AA gun and one or two more, that I built straight and maintained kit integrity, well almost, those two went by the way of mixing too ![:D]
So in order for me to stop kit mixing I might have to stop kit building, no, I kind of like what I do and my wife can’t believe the amount of detailing that goes into, yeah ! those darn kit mixes. Funny though, most of my Tamiya are NOT mixed up.
