I recently purchased the Italeri A-7D SLUF Corsair II in the 1/72 scale .Looking at the painting instructions,I would like to finish my SLUF in the two tone gray camouflage of the 180th TFG Ohio national guard.The instructions say Gunship gray F.S 36118 and medium gray F.S 35237.But checking through one of my A-7 Corsair II referance books,similar aircraft are finished in Gunship gray F.S 36118 and Gray F.S 36270.Which of the medium grays is correct?[:)]
Odd you should be building that very plane in that very color: the last time I saw one it was in the gray scheme, it was a real A-7D, from Ohio, and it had just flown into a hotel at the airport and I drew the black bean, being sent to cover it. It was in 1987 or 88, I think. What is odd is that I had forgotten all about it until now.
