Well I got mine today… First impressions are good. Wheel wells appear too shallow and lack a little detail but they are in correct position… (outboard)
The kit on a whole looks great… several underwing options from HV rockets , Bazooka tube rockets , 3 different bomb options and 2 drop tank options,
This is NOT Heller kit… It’s also not a Revell AG conversion.
Scribing appears a little heavy in places but not overdone. Motor looks fine it is correct engine for the “N”… I can’t tell yet if guns are lined up via ground level or not…They look to be in wrong angle like the Hasagawa and Academy kits… Easy to correct…
Interior looks great and Cockpit glass comes in it’s own poly bag…
A little steep for an Italeri kit $20 at LHS… But it’s not a typical Italeri kit… Many Many xtras…

The LHS hasn’t got this one in yet but I am anxious to see one. Sounds pretty good from your description.
Too bad our LHS get to stock new releases late. Am still waiting for the 1/72 Academy P-38 and now this Italeri P-47N!
Is this new molds? It’s not the old crappy Heller N is it? The one with the droopy nose and incorrect flaps?
Jeez, I sure hope not. I still have one of those waiting in the wings.
Picked one up today at the LHS. It is definitely a new tool, not the old Heller kit. It’s pretty much the way Butch described it. Not Tamiya quality, but acceptable. Unfortunetly, the wing cannon are not lined up to the ground, but follow the wing leading edge. Fairly easy to correct, but kind of inexcusable on an all new tool.
