This kit is the lastest Italeri´s 1/48 release and, as the 1/35 kit … is far from being the “definitive Puma”. In fact, I expected for a little effort from Italeri in this kit, but unfortunately, they just “undersized” the 1/35 vehicle with the same defects and problems … but in a kit released in 2010!
There´s a lot of room for improvements, like on the typical jerry cans on the fenders, the tools, the barrel gun (diameter undersized), so on. Anyway, the kit is easy to assemble and the fit of the pieces is excellent, I practically did not use the putty. I used Hauler tools, Pz III L Armo´s gun barrel, some PE strips and Tamiya´s jerrycans. The muzzle brake is awfull … but no option!
Hope that Hauler, Gaso.line … will release a nice update set for this really nice vehicle … one of my favourite!
I did not want to make an extensive detailing work, just a little bit effort to achieve a littel more realistic kit. With a little “love on the kit”, it´s easy to get a worthy result.

You have done a great job on that Puma. The brass details really add to the build. I have the old 1/35 Testor’s/Italeri Puma and the Eduard PE set waiting in the stash for its turn. The Dragon Puma is a killer and I will eventually get one. Hope to see more updates.

Excellent Jose, looking forward to more on this build. I do recall you saying to build OOB yet this kit did need a bit more detail to really shine.If you never said I would have guessed it was 1/35 scale.
I like the previous suggestion of ‘studying abroad’ Thinking you should buy a Vineyard including a studio overlooking some of the classic Italian landscapes and host ‘modeler’s study sessions / vacations’ Of course it will need to be close to some night life and the ocean. Let me know when I can book a all inclusive two week package.
