it takes a thief

i watched an episode of this show it starred robert wagner

for those of you too young to remember it it was about 1968-1970 the show was about a master theif turned good guy who used his expertise for the gov…

any way

this one episode had some serious film of b-52’s they took the movie FAILSAFE ( one of the finest cold war thrillers ever made and it had great shots of the b-58) made 12-13 yrs earlier added the tv shows twist to it

had anyone ever seen either one

yep. Saw both. Alexander Munday and Noah Bayne I think. I thought it ran longer than 2 years. Failsafe was a fine movie, enjoyed the book too, but personally, I liked Dr Strangelove better.

Thinking how the Vindicator worked in Failsafe, it was ridiculous. Even today, we don’t have fighters or bombers that can cruise at Mach 2+. The B-58 which is supposed to be an earlier model of the fictional Vindicator could only dash at Mach 2+, it cruised at under mach 1. Also, in the 1960s they did not have technology to replicate the Big Board in realtime.

Good entertainment though. [Y]
