I am seeking out paint for my current as well as next project. I am specifically looking for an online hobby retailer that accepts Paypal. I came across the Yahoo Internet Hobbies site that has a banner somewhere on this site and I do not see where they carry Gunze or Polly Scale paints. They do have “Testors Model Master Acrylic” paints though that come in all the RLM colors I need. Is this stuff any good and worth buying… or should I just send a check into another
retailer and wait the extra amount of time to get my order.
I like MM acrylics, and use them quite a bit. They spray fine, thin great with alky or water, and clean up pretty easily.
I also like them but some people do not.
It is best to try one bottle out and see what results you get so you can decide for yourself.

I have been using the MM acrylics for a while and have had no problems at all. They airbrush well with minimal thinning, and adjusting the tone is easy.
I use 'em and like 'em too. One caveat (and even Testor’s literature says this): MM Acryl paints don’t always adhere well to bare plastic, especially if the plastic is oily from mold release agents or skin oil.
Be sure to clean your plastic with mild dish detergent or Polly S Plastic Prep. The other thing I’ve done is use Testors spray can enamel in white or light grey as a primer. Once it cures completely (I allow three days or so), the MM Acryl sticks right to it.
Regards,
i agree with the above responses. if you prep you will have great results. the only trouble i have had with mm is when i did not prep right.

I believe the best of the best for the RLM kind. …Is “Aircraft Colors” It is a Acrylic. You can find it is GreatModels and the Squadron or you get the source for the AeroMaster. http://www.aircraftcolors.com/
Thats for the feedback everyone. Just curious… my local hobby shop (not my kind of hobbies i.e. Warhammer, D&D figurines ect.) stocks some paint called Vallejo and the guy said that he would get it to me for his cost to help get his required monthy order amount. Any one know much about it? good for airbrushing? - said that they had a pack specifically German colors. I have not looked into it yet. Figured I would ask here. Thanks.
BTW that vallejo is Aircraft Colors. Just it different name. I think that GErman colors are differant for like a Tanks and uniforms…I believe…
Vallejos are great paints. The figure painting crowd really uses them. They are a vinyl acrylic, thin nicely with water (do not use alcohol!), and brush really well. They make another brand that is specifically for airbrushing, but I do not have any experience with them.
The website is www.acrylicosvallejo.com , I believe.
Edit: I had the website wrong.

I like both Model Master Acrylics and enamels.
