Is There Any Hope To Find Parts For Old Kits?

My day kicked me back a old Revell P-40 in 1/32 scale. His eyes just don’t cut it any longer. He never started it and now I have discoverd the prop is missing as are one of the landing gear. Not sure what else just yet. Any advice? Does anyone have any extra parts? Hate to not be able to finish it. Thanks in advance guys.

I think youy can get landing gear legs from Squadron made of white metal. Try searching for an aftermarket Curtiss-Wright prop. I think that P-38’s also used the C-W props, but I think that they turned in different directions. Just check photos to get the right one.

An old school modeling opportunity! 32nd is big enough you could make the LG out of wire (try a paper clip?) wrapped in plastic sheet/tube. The prop can be done by the same method wood kit builders used: take layers of plastic sheet in the basic shape of 3 props but glue them slightly askew to each other. Then sand carefully until it looks like a prop. With a spinner you won’t need to replicate the prop boss. Alternatively, search for aftermarket like the previous poster indicated. The final alternative is to buy an old kit on eBay for the parts (or the first…).
