I was looking at Squadron’s website and saw some 1/35 helicopters from MRC. I was wondering what you guys think of MRC and if i get their products? Thanks
I would say they are some of the better models that I have seen. They are big and come with a lot of detail. I built the AH-1W Cobra and it was one of my favorites. It had a few mistakes, but nothing that isn’t easily fixed. I’m planning on doing their UH-1 Slick or UH-60 soon.

I agree with bandofbrothers. MRC/Academy has consistently produced the best quality, most accurate 1/35th scale helicopters available. I have them all and I’m not disappointed with any of them. If you shop one of the discount hobby shops, you’ll wind up getting excellent value for your money. If you want to get a beautiful Black Hawk, add the Eduard detail sets (and a copy of my book for reference “H-60 Black Hawk in Action”. Since I’m disappointed in the Panda releases of the long cabin Hueys … I’m hoping MRC with release one of these in the next year or two.

picket, what do you think of the model of the korean war chopper like they used on MASH? I can’t remember the name of it. I saw the pics of the model and thought it might be tough to build.

MRC is OK, but I prefer their sister company, Academy. They make more 1/72 and 1/48 scale aircraft, which are more in line w/ my preferences!
I built both MRC’s Bell 47, the korean war chopper, and their Bell UH-1C Huey, and they are great kits, well detailed, and look great.

Bandof brothers,
The MRC/Academy kit of the OH-13 (Bell Model 47) is an accurate rendition of the MASH helicopter of the Korean War. The kit goes together well without a lot of problems. The Revell Bell 47 is a later version (Vietnam) and is not accurate for Korea. Even though, it too is an excellent kit, especially for Revell.

MRC kits ROCK!
