I want to order Tasca’s 76mm Sherman and the only place i can find it is at Lucky Model. I have never ordered from there and am a little apprehensive to send out my credit card number over seas. Does anyone have any luck with Lucky Model (haha)? anything i should look out for?
I’ve ordered from them many times with no issues. Just make sure it’s “IN STOCK” and not just available!
I’ve been using LM for years and never had a problem. As Bill says, only order if the item is listed as :“In Stock” because if it’s listed as “available” iot means that it’s not actually in stock and it may be some time before it’s restocked.
Be aware that when you place an order, the payment is processed up front at the time of order, rather than when they ship the order, due to the way their payment system works. This has never been an issue for me, but some people don’t like it.
I knew from a fellow modeler that LM offered a 7th Year Anniversary promotion, so I ordered for the first time on 16 June, when I received my first order, I made another two orders during the promotion period, each order around $50-60 (after 10% discount). The promotion ran out on 3 July, so you’re too late to get 10% discount for order over $50. But I think they still offer free shipping to US mainland for order over $100. No problem with upfront payment system. I’m sure it’s safe.
