I’ve have recently had problems with their online invoice update. I’ve ordered items that were reportedly “In Stock” and after my order shipped these items were then updated as not in stock and cancelled. I agree this just seem to be recently I have ordered before with no problems. You have to be especially care when an item says “Special Order”
Like kik36, my experiences have been the complete opposite of F4PHANTOMGUY’s.
I’ve had nothing but near perfect service from Squadron since I began ordering from them, about a year ago. I’ve placed about 10 orders and only once has any order been incomplete. IAlso, I was only charged for what shipped. They usually ship my order the very next day. My only complaint is the lack of order tracking.
I’ve only placed two orders with Great Models (and the second was only to take advantage of a store credit that I received from the mistake with the first order). It took about a month for the first order to arrive, and it’s taken a month so far and I’ve yet to receive the second order. In all fairness, none of the items I ordered were listed as in stock, and I think they have to order them from England. When I placed my first order, I ordered one of those PE folding units in a “value pak” type set-up that included a rolling set and a cutting set. They shipped only the folding unit, but charged me for all three. When I asked that they send out the other two components (which they sell separately, anyway) my first email was ignored. I was then told that they wouldn’t be able to do that and I was given a credit for the difference between the stand-alone unit, and the “value pak” deal. I’ll eventually get the other two components, but I’ll pay an extra $7 to buy them separately, not to mention the extra shipping costs. It seems like as long as you order in-stock stuff, they get favorable reviews from most people, but the poor customer service did me in.
I received an email with my tracking number for the model I ordered and it should be delivered tomorrow.
I am going to have fun as this is my first 1/48 scale F-16 and it is even more exciting being in the Tiger Meet variation. [;)]
