I mean, models or dios from conflicts in Africa or the Balkans?
Just look around the forums there’s tons of non-WWII builds.
For example, smokinguns3 built a BMP-1 that you can see here: /forums/1058856/ShowPost.aspx
And RickLawler is building a Toyota Landcruiser “Technical” w/106mm recoiless that you can see here: /forums/1054995/ShowPost.aspx
Im finishing up a Vietnam APC and a Cold War Soviet attack bird.
Yep, I have.
My technical on FSM was just mentioned, in addition, these are my recent or WIP non-WW2 projects…Bedford RLB, Alvis Salwart, Humber 1 Ton Truck.

Desert Storm M557 FDC diorama, ca. 1991, M109 SP Howitzer/M548 diorama, ca. 1988, M102 105mm Howitzer/M35A2 primemover diorama, ca.1981, M102 Howitzer/UH-60 sling-load diorama…
Most all my US armor builds are 1976-2006 time-frame, the years I was in the Machine… I do the WW2 stuff too, just usually confine it to the Western Front or N. Africa…
Why do you ask?
I got a 1951 M24 Chaffee Light tank in the works, to be painted in Korean War scheme – not too far from WW2 but still postwar. I must admit I’m pretty stuck in the WW2 phase in general!
I’m still working on my M-1126 Stryker with slat armor…there’s a WIP thread on here somewhere, and if I were smart enough, I’d post a link to it (but alas, I ain’t that bright.)

Once 2009 hits,I’ll be building a few kits for the Star Wars GB.I’m bound to work in a U-Boat for 2009 as well.
I build almost exclusively post-WWII subjects. I have a few token WWII models, all allied subjects; I just can’t get into the German stuff. Most of my models are modern through. I am currently working on the Trumpeter M1127 Stryker RV with added plate armor, slatt armor, and blast sheids on the top, with a lot of scratch extras too.
I build almost entirely post-WW2 stuff, mostly Soviet/Russian in 1/35 and 1/72 (armor and softskins), but I also build WW2 Russian. I have a Tamiya 1/48 KV-1E, and a Trumpeter STRV-103B S-Tank under construction right now and an M4A2 Emcha awaiting paint. I used to build a lot of WW2 German, mostly the Panzer III and IV series and the StuGs, but then I discovered Modern Soviet/Warsaw Pact stuff and it was over! A few of my latest projects have been Balkans related. I did a T-34-85 Model 1969 in Croatian National Guard (CNG) camo and markings (in both 1/35 and 1/72), a M36B2 Tank destroyer in CNG markings, and a Jugoslav National Army (JNA) T-55 with the BTU-55 dozer blade. The Balkans conflict provided such a variety of camo, vehicles, and markings. It’s pretty much overlooked by most modelers, though. I’ve also done a few vehicles from Chechnya, like a T-72BM and a Shilka, but haven’t seen many Chechen inspired builds from others. I guess I just like stuff that’s kind of off the beaten path.
I build mostly post WW2 and then modern German Armor. I just finished a Tamiya Leopard 2A5 a few weeks ago.
I do most things from eras I’m more familure with, and ranging back into WWII. Most of the kits I’ve been buying lately are WWII, but only because they’re there. Korea has sorta gained an interest from me in the last six months; even though I’ve yet to build anything (I have bought an M46 and an M26 along with an 8" howitzer).
Right now I’d say that when I get these three group builds done that I’ll start start on the Korean War stuff in ernest. I’d like to do more Vietnam stuff, but I really don’t find the selection that you do in WWII kits. You’d think that somebody like Dragon would bring out a really good M48 or an Ontos! Look at what they could have done with the M110 / M107 series. And don’t even bring up towed weapons! Everything from a quad fifty to a 155mm howitzer. There’s at least ten different kits right there alone.
