Hi Guys, I know a show announcement is not entirely correct to be placing here but when I heard who was going to be giving a talk I decided to go ahead anway.
The 50th anniversary show Of the Irish Model Soldier Society will take place in 2008.
Aha… You guys are still going. Good to see it. I wanted to swing by last time I was in Dublin, but last time I visited, you had just gone from Buswell’s to the Abbey and couldn’t find a website to link me to the new location. (That should date me)
Is Mog still walking away with every aircraft category? And if you’re still doing the military/modelling pub quizes, is there any chance you can forward on a copy of the quiz? I want to start up something of that nature at my new club.
It should be a good one, and to answer theh questions of Manic Moran ,
We moved from Buswells to Wynns hotel a couple of donkeys ago, that only lasted about 2-3 years. We’re now in the Garda (Police) club in Harrington St.
The Quiz was held this month, but on a friday as opposed to the usual thursday. Stevie Jaemson came down from Belfast with Roberto. (Who won 2 gold and 5 silver at Euro Militare)
Mog is still very active in the Aircraft section.
Mr. Tony Foley passed on last year, a great loss to the society as did Richie Keane the year before.
Kevin Sullivan, best known for his knowledge of south American cultures and sculpting is now taking on Mog at WW1 aircraft.
Please Email me with a photo of yourself and I will see who remembers you, I’m 20 odd years there now.
I will keep everybody posted as to what is happpening. I would imagine it is going to be a show to remember.
