Great buid, Kel. Sure looks like you’ve got the freehand airbrush thing down!
Check out this website about the history of Iranian F-14s. Read it all the way through and see how Iran will operate the Tomcat well into the 21st cent. while the Navy is phasing it out.
Nice looking F-14. I bought the Osprey book on Iranian Tomcats and after seeing your build, now I want to build one. Apparently at least one of Irans F-14s are now painted in gray camo. It can be seen on the back page of the book and can be seen on amazon.com.
Check out these sites on Iran’s Tomcats,

And a site listing Irans kills during its war with Iraq. (It must have been one busy bird during the 80’s, especially since no spare parts supplier during that time)

Makes me wonder: where did you get the decals from?
I might build the 1/32 version of the IIAF F-14A, though haven’t come up with decals up to now. Custom decals might be an option, though I’d rather saev myself some trouble here… (where can I find out what decals I need: not much info on the web (flags, serials numbers and roundels; but what else?)
Great looking Tomcat and great job on the paint.
Great looking build. Thanx for sharing.
Very nice build!! Looking forward to seeing the pics of the Hasegawa kit! - Calvin
