Wow, beautiful models and great pics, thanks!

Some great looking models. Thanks for posting.

I had hoped to get down for the Show, but a 300 mile drive in iffy weather scared me off. How was the attendance this year ?

Regards, Rick

This was my first time at this particular show so cannot comment on attendance from this year vs any other year. Things looked like they were hopping pretty good and as you can see there were plenty of entries for competition. Hope the weather is just a little better next year.

this was my second year there and it was about the same as last year and man there was some great builds i think my favorite was the tank in the winter dio, that was an amazing build, the ch-53 was also outstanding,i received alot good complements on the models i entered, thanks for the kind words swanny,i’m glad that you thought that much of my dio,i just wish i could’ve met you,i like putting faces to names,i’ll try posting some of the pics i took

I was going to go but weather kept me away. Nice pics

so thats why you weren’t there phoenix i kept an eye out for ya,i don’t know if you remember or not but we met in dayton back in october, but how are you and your wife doing?

I too was able to brave the snow and attended the show. They don’t call it Blizzardcon for nothing. All in all, I’d say it was about the same as last year. I had a good time and my hats off to the boys from Col. for a job well done. The only gripe I have is they need better lighting and should seperate 1/48 and 1/32 instead of lumping them all together.

Sorry I missed you again Matt.

Jerry

i agree with you dragonfly it is abit on the dark side, but i got alittle confused between the adult and master classes someone told i should’ve put in the master catagory but i don’t consider myself a master,i geuss i’ll just put in there next year and see how i do there i did pretty good in the adult class

Of course I do, my memory is bad but not that bad yet[:)]. Good to hear from you, we’re all doing great, getting hit with more snow here in akron ohio. I’m running out of places to put it. roads here are still pretty bad so I called it off this year. how have you been? and did you enter anything this year?

me in front of multiple 4 to 5 foot piles of white stuff.

Was yours the one with the lightning bolts? I was the guy in the wide brim leather hat taking pictures during the judging.

Jerry, I agree the lighting could have been better. I think the only other suggestion I would make to the club is put down some paper sheet on the tables before laying out the displays. I know it is a little more cost but really would make the models pop out better.

were all doing great? thanks for asking but i love the tons of white stuff were getting here in springfield,i entered 3 models one was a jayhawk rescue scene, then the a-7 dio and also a ship of the enterprise i built in about a week and a half,SWANNY yeah i put the jayhawk together and i also did the a-7 dio next to it,i got a great response from both of them and i think the judges liked the enterprise since they placed it second, but sorry i wasn’t there for the judging i was having lunch with the family.did you enter anything or did you just take some amazing photos[tup] the big gripe i had about the show was that there was no place to sit,to me it doesn’t really bother me that much but my mother and aunt are my groupies and they follow me to every show i go, they both don’t really have great knees so a place to sit and drink a coke or 2 every once in while would be nice but i do love the show and they do a good job of it

I don’t generally enter models as I am afraid to transport them without some extreme packing plus I have a pretty hard time getting out of bed early enough to make it there in time for entries. One of the things I liked about the show in Toledo last year was they have a lounge right there with tables, food and drink – a great set-up.
