Hey everyone - this is on me - my monthly reminders were not scheduling to run in 2026 but I’ve updated that.
We’ll be back on track starting march 1st.
I’m currently driving from Tennessee to Arizona (writing this from a little town called Greensboro Arkansas) so my 3 month old daughter can meet the family in AZ. I say this to allow no later then Monday for the changes to be seen on the site - if I can update them tonight in our next stop, I absolutely will.

Not a biggie if it went away,how many would stop posting if it went away? If anybodys posting simply for rewards,they might,but who would miss them.Most of us post with no expection of awards

I don’t even understand what the rewards are and I guess I was #1 in Jan without actually realizing it! If I won something, I have no idea what it is.
When I first started on the forum, I learned of this incentive to be active on here. I was active enough to get a $100 gift card and spent it wisely. The next month they changed it to a random draw of those that earned enough points. I never won that but there is so much more value here than just the gift cards. You all have helped me improve my modeling skills, introduced new tools and kits to me, and shared your love of this hobby with me. I hardly ever look at the leaderboard anymore and, when I do, I am not surprised to see the names at the top. (You know who you are) You each add value to these boards every single day. Thanks for being here! And thanks to everyone who shares their insights, wisdom and failures. I have learned from all of it.

To me, it really doesn’t matter if the points/rewards system is kept anymore or not.
The few times I did get a gift card to the Trains(dot)com website, there wasn’t much of anything I wanted. Everything was pretty much trains, trains, trains, and more railroading stuff which I wasn’t interested in at all.
Not really much of a selection of modeling products either. 
The only thing that interested me on that site was just some of the aviation books it had.

I won three times 2×$100 and a $200 I got some useful stuff and some things I wanted,but probably wouldnt buy on my own.Still got a $140 left.So it was a nice perk,but I posted freely since 2003,and will continue even if it goes away.
I did get a great $35 cutter,best decision ever,I loved them so much that I even got another for backup
I’m kind of in a similar position, with some credit available but little needed. I’m wondering if there might be a way to help out some of our friends here in the forum. I know there are some people posting here who are new into the hobby, on limited budgets, etc. I’m thinking it might be nice to maybe spread the wealth a bit by getting some supplies for them with the gift cards. I’ll have to see if I can use different shipping address on my order, or maybe even give another forum member the activation code for the card.

I forgot about the store credit until today, so I went over to the Trains.com website and ordered three Mike Rinaldi armor books. So now I don’t have any excuse for avoiding weathering my tanks!
