Hello FSM Forum, members: I am new to the forum and a returning model builder. As a child use to have a model kit built in a day but the magazine displays the art involved so I am doing my best to perfect every step.
I acquired a couple of Revell Beaufighter kits for a diorama project I have long wanted to tackle. However I have had difficulty sourcing 1/32nd scale figures that could be used for ground crew. Could someone give me some advice on where to find pilot and ground crew figures please ? One other question: What is a good product for filling imperfections in the plastic surface ?

32nd Dio accessories and figures for aircraft are pretty thin on the ground. For Dio’s, 72nd is really your best option. But there are a few bits you might find useful. This is from Hannants in the UK but wil give you some idea. But most of it is for modern aircraft or none air craft dio’s.
As for figures, again most are none aircraft. Those that are for aircraft are mostly either modern or WW2 German.
If you look through this list, you will see Master Box are due to release a set of WW2 RAF Pilots, set 206. Set 203 says RAF Pilots and Ground Crew, but they could well be modern, it doesn’t say.
Welcome to the Forums Voyageur! I don’t use figures too much but I can help you with a couple of great fillers to use for seams and imperfections. The one I use is the red “Bondo” Glazing and Spot Putty. It’s used by auto body shops and can be gotten at any auto supply store. They use it to fill fine scratches before painting a car. It comes in a 16oz. tube so it lasts a long time. It dries in about 5 to 10 minutes depending on how thick you put it on. The thinner you put it on, the faster it dries and the easier it sands.
There is also another one called “Acryl Blue” Works the same and sands the same. I just can’t seem to find it in my area or I’d still be using it. It’s also an auto putty.
“Squadron” has a green putty that comes in a 2.3oz. tube that is good. Can be thinned, if necessary, with lacquer thinner.
Testors makes a good putty that they call Contour putty. It can be thinned down also with lacquer thinner.

I was in town today and I found the 16 oz tube of glazing Putty Filler . I had to go to an auto body paint supplier as the auto parts stores here in Costa Rica don’t stock any paints or bondo --just parts Interesting --the main paint company “SUR” makes the bondo and the auto body paint store had the glazing putty. (imported) . In a place were one should stock all- they are all specialists. I remember it from years gone by so I am set – Thanks so much - Phil
