Not sure if this website has been mentioned before but I stumbled across it the other day and found it a pretty interesting read. Some guys wife came upon a sea-chest at a garage sale and they decided to find out more about the original owner. It belonged to “VeeGee” Lambert who was the first non-Naval Academy Officer to command a U.S. Aircraft Carrier. He also test flew the Ryan Darkshark XF2R-1 and was very impressed with it. Anyway, I hope you find the site as interesting as I did.
