Interesting article about FW190D landing gear discrepancies

Here is an almost absurdly detailed but interesting set of articles about the landing gear of the Focke-Wulf FW190D addressing descrepancies in the landing gear height and the effect on the plane’s “stance”, which has been considered something of a problem amongst the 1/48 FW190 kits.

Pretty interesting articles for the FW190 enthusiasts, but my god, some people just have entirely too much spare time on their hands! [:D]

I’ve read that article before. It is very interesting to see the differences in the kits. All of the info applies to the A series aswell. Thanks for posting the link.

Cool!
Thankfully I haven’t started my 190 Dragon kit yet, so will make the adjustments as required.

I’m no rivet counter thats for sure, but knowing the stance isn’t correct would bug me everytime I looked at it.

Cool! I just picked up the Hasegawa 1/32 Fw-190 and will pay attention to the gear when I get to them.

Very informative. Thanks for posting.
